Stainless & Glass Balustrade to Internal Stairs & Landing

Stainless & Glass Balustrade to Internal Stairs & Landing

<

Customer: Mrs Brier, Bradford.

Mrs Brier wanted to take out the old traditional wooden type handrailing they had on their internal stairs and landing area and replace it with something more modern and stylish. They were thinking along the lines of stainless steel and glazed type of handrail.
After searching for ideas on the internet for stainless steel and glass balustrade she found Global Walkway Solutions and called to discuss her project and requirements.
We discussed the project further, and based on their requirements we put forward the idea of going for stainless steel handrail and mounting glass with Kronos glass clamps on to the existing wooden posts to create a more open, lighter and brighter space
Through this consultation process it was decided we would use the 42.4mm stainless steel channel tube as a banister rail down the stairs. To use stainless steel Kronos glass clamps round type on one side of the wooden post and the other side to use stainless steel glass adapters for a glazed balustrade system.
We took all necessary measurements and calculated the required materials. We then submitted the quotation to Mrs Brier, which was shortly agreed upon, after which we implemented an agreed plan of action.
Swiftly following the preparation work (removal of old type of handrailing and making good), Mrs Brier's own chosen installation team commenced with installation of the glass adapters and clamps to the appropriate points. Once these were in place, we could get the exact size required for the glass infill panel, the glass could now be ordered for manufacturer.
Just over a week later, once the glass was manufactured, the installation team returned to fit the glass and channel tube down the stairs for a handrail.
Mrs Brier was overjoyed with service and the end result, commenting that it had transformed their hall, stairs, and landing area.
